Statesville Place Residents, Students Share Special Bond

Cool Spring Elementary School third-graders brought Christmas cheer to the residents of Statesville Place last week by sharing their love of reading and poetry.

On Thursday, Cool Spring teacher Stephanie Krall’s third-grade class visited the residents and read original poems, sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and then spent time individually with those in the assisted living home. They also presented Statesville Place with a wreath made from hand outlines of every third-grader in the school.

“It’s fun to read to people and it makes me happy,” said Cool Spring third-grader Kris Limberg.
